The font is in overall very good condition, a few minute fleabites to the facet edges commensurate with age and use. The facet cut cranberry glass gives a lovely play of light. A clear glass handle incorporated into the font and smaller proportions made this oil lamp easy for carrying from room to room.
The lamp stands approximately 26.5cm high to the top of the chimney. It measures 12cm in diameter at its widest point, excluding the handle. The base displays table wear to the underside and i believe this lamp dates from the mid to late 19th century. Overall in very good condition with just the usual bubbles and imperfections associated with the manufacturing process of this type of glass, this would make a stunning addition to any collection or a prestigious accessory in your home.
